WILLIAM Moninet 14" x 12.5" oil on canvas clowns framed art. William Moninet (1937-1999) was born in Louisiana. The impressionist artist is renowned worldwide for his vibrant and realistic whimsical artwork of clowns. The clowns' smile and facial expressions on this painting are very realistic. You could see the human facial qualities behind their 'mask'. Lovely piece. His work is reminiscent of everyone's childhood. The circus would come to town, people would take time away from their daily life to enjoy such entertainment. PLEASE NOTE: This is a vintage pre owned item. I did note a chip of painting lower left collar on one clown and down crack like marks throughout painting. I am not an expert so I am unsure if this from age or intentional. Also some wear marks to frame. There are some marks on the fabric type border. For more details please study all pictures.
