Born in Southern Italy where it is also known as "a cuccumella", the NAPOLETAN CAFFETTIERA is an emblem of Italian tradition. Preparing a coffee with the Neapolitan is a ritual to be followed with care, a rite that has become a real symbol of hospitality and conviviality. It is made of 99.5% aluminum with anti-scalding bakelite handles. The coffee obtained with the Neapolitan coffee maker is characterized by an intensely aromatic taste and a light body. The ideal grinding for this process is medium/coarse, not fine as for ordinary Moka coffee makers. The Napoletana coffee maker consists of a water tank (equipped with a handle), a filter group composed in turn of the "shirt" and the lid filtro, a container equipped with spout and handle and finally a lid. The operation is very simple, the water is poured into the fino tank about half a cm from the hole (placed on the tank); the ground coffee is placed in the "shirt" to which the cover filter is then screwed. With care, it fits and fits the entire filter group inside the water tank. Finally, then the collection tank is inserted, bringing the two handles to align. Steam leakage from the hole will indicate when the water has reached the boil. After turning the coffee maker the water will drop drop by drop and fall "leaching" on the coffee that will collect in the tank with the spout. The percolation time is about 5/6 minutes after which it will be possible to remove the filter group and the water tank, place the lid and then serve the coffee.
